Since 1988, the Schmidt family has managed their farm according to the guidelines of organic farming. The farm is a member of BIO-AUSTRIA. In 1997 a new farm was built on a hill on the outskirts of Neudorf.
A wide variety of different crops are grown on 58 hectares of arable land.
Some of the grain is processed into flakes, pasta, flour or semolina and marketed ex-farm or via farm stores.
Once a month, a collection point in Vienna is also supplied "FoodCoops". The rest of the products go to the Agentur für Biogetreide, the Sonnentor company, Agrana and also to colleagues.
The Schmidt family's farm store offers environmentally friendly, packaging-free shopping.
