Weinbau Quirtner

The Quirtner winery, located at the first foothills of the Waldviertel in the village of Klein-Jetzelsdorf, which belongs to the market town of Röschitz, has been a family business since 1935. Andrea and Alfred have been cultivating this 5.41 hectare vineyard since 1995. As is typical of the region, the main focus is on Grüne Veltliner, which accounts for 73% of the vineyards with an area of 3.91 hectares. The remaining vineyards are planted with Riesling, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller, Zweigelt and Blauer Portugieser. In addition to the intensive work in the vineyard and cellar, it is a constant endeavor to bring wine closer to the community. Group wine tastings in Quirtner's typical wine cellar are becoming increasingly popular and help to convey the fascination and diversity of wine.
