Weingut Gerhard Markowitsch

When Gerhard Markowitsch joined his parents' business in 1990, the family lived primarily from mixed farming with cereals and sugar beet. Wine was a supporting actor. Since then, the situation has changed radically: Gerhard Markowitsch is recognized as one of Austria's top winemakers, his probably most modern winery in the country, which he inaugurated only recently, is already bursting at the seams again, and although he has multiplied production since taking over the business, the bottles are leaving the warehouse faster than the winemaker would like. Gerhard Markowitsch has made a name for himself throughout Austria and internationally with his red wines in particular.
