Leírás

The Thüringer winery is a family business whose roots probably go back to the 19th century. Viticulture has developed steadily over the years without losing its original identity. Under Herbert Thüringer in particular, viticulture became increasingly important from the 1950s onwards. Since 2011, Elisabeth Thüringer has managed the winegrowing and cellar management, while her husband devotes himself to organic farming. Her son Gerhard Thüringer joined the business in 2016 after completing his training at the Francisco Josephinum. The wines of the Thüringer winery are characterized by two unchangeable factors: climate and soil. These two influences give each wine a unique character. The aim is to promote these natural conditions and preserve them in the best possible way until the bottle is opened. The focus is on Grüner Veltliner, which is typical of the Weinviertel. However, less common varieties such as Gelber Muskateller and Sauvignon Blanc also thrive under the influence of the Pannonian climate. When it comes to red wines, the Thüringer winery focuses on the classic Zweigelt and Blauburger varieties.
