The windmill is a landmark of the wine town of Retz. It is one of the last two operational windmills in Austria and was shut down in 1924 after decades of profitable grinding work. After being restored by Dutch windmill builders, it now turns and grinds again. A technical monument of great cultural and historical value, which can be experienced in breathtaking aesthetics.
