The museum contains many unique exhibits from the trades of carpentry, master carpentry, cooperage and woodturning.
The museum was originally founded and set up between 1976 and 1978 and is still run by the Lower Austrian Carpenters' Guild.
The museum contains old tools, equipment, small machines and small pieces of furniture, as well as many inlays in patterns (the oldest piece dates from around 1930) and old techniques in a wide variety of forms.
