The Almrauschhütte am Wechsel is located at around 1,250 meters above sea level and is a well-known landmark for hikers and nature lovers. Even though the hut is closed all year round, it is an inviting place to take a break amidst the idyllic landscape of the Wechsel.
A drinks machine is available on site, offering hikers and day-trippers a little refreshment. The surrounding meadows, forests and impressive panorama make the hut a popular stopover on tours in the region.
The Almrauschhütte can be easily reached on foot from St. Corona am Wechsel. From the hut, it takes an hour to reach the summit of the Kampstein (1,467 m).
Opening hours: The hut is closed all year round. Self-service drinks from April to October (vending machine on site).
