The market town of Grafenwörth consists of the cadastral communities Feuersbrunn, Grafenwörth, Jettsdorf, St. Johann, Seebarn, and Wagram am Wagram and has a total area of approximately 46 km².

The community is characterized by a rich diversity of natural and cultural landscape elements, as the municipal area stretches from the species-rich and ecologically valuable floodplain forest at the Danube, Kamp, and Mühlkamp beyond the Wagram into the wine region up to the Hengstberg.

Grafenwörth is very well accessible from Krems, St. Pölten, and Vienna via the Kamptal Road B34 in the north, the Stockerau expressway S5 with the Grafenwörth exit in the south, and the Krems expressway S33.
