Discover the 111 kilometer long cycle path - the Thayarunde
The Thayarunde cycle route runs largely along the former Waidhofen/Thaya-Slavonice and Göpfritz/Wild-Raabs/Thaya railroad lines. This route lovingly hugs the gentle terrain. The steam locomotives could not cope with steep gradients at that time and the railroad engineers smoothed the landscape. Today, these are ideal conditions, especially for families, to spend a relaxed cycling time together.
Although we are not directly on the route, we are not far from the cycle path.

Canoeing
With our two canoes you can canoe in the Thaya dam area directly from the Liebnitzmühle. The canoe trips are not guided and a trip takes about 1 ½ hours.
You paddle upstream, after about ¾ hour you come to a log, where we ask you to turn around.
The rental fee for a canoe is € 15.00.
The rental fee for a boat is € 20.00.
Stand Up Paddling
On request, 2 stand up paddle boards can be hired from the Hotel-Restaurant Liebnitzmühle. (Pre-registration/pre-reservation absolutely necessary)
With the board you paddle upstream towards Speisendorf/Karlstein. After about ¾ hour you come to a tree trunk where you can no longer pass. Turn around there and come back.
Prices: € 15 per board for 1.5 hours
Daily 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (except November to March, i.e. only April to October)
